RepCrowd is a free training app. We collect what it needs to count your reps, keep your history safe, and run the community. We do not show ads, sell your data, or track you across other apps and websites.

Who we are

RepCrowd is operated by Martin Jezek, an individual based in Canada, who is responsible for your personal information. Contact us at [email protected].

Without an account

You can train without an account. Your sets, ranks and preferences then stay on your iPhone and Apple Watch, which sync with each other directly.

What we collect with an account

  • Account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider.
  • Training: the exercises you choose, sets, reps, hold times, loads, dates, time zone, targets, ranks and rest-timer settings.
  • Body measurements, if you add them: body weight, body-fat percentage and circumferences.
  • Profile and social: display name, username, whether your profile is private, an optional age group (never your birth date), friends, blocks and challenges.
  • Live room: chat messages you send, reports you make, and moderation actions on your account.
  • Notifications, if you allow them: a device token so we can tell you about challenges and live sessions.
  • Product analytics, unless you turn them off: which screens and features are used, app version and platform, so we can fix problems and improve the app. You can switch this off in Settings → Share anonymous product analytics.

What other people can see

  • Your reps always add to the world counter as an anonymous total.
  • Your display name and rep totals can appear on exercise leaderboards and to friends and challenge opponents.
  • If your account is public, your username, ranks and rank-ups can appear in the live room. Chat messages and rank-ups in the live room may appear on Martin's live streams.
  • If your account is private, people who are not your friends cannot open your detailed performance profile or see your activity, and your rank-ups are not shown in the live room.

How we use your data

  • To run RepCrowd: ranks, history, sync between devices, and restoring your training on a new iPhone.
  • To run the community: the world counter, leaderboards, friends, challenges and the live room.
  • To keep people safe: filtering messages, reviewing reports, and acting on accounts that break the Terms of Use.
  • To improve the app with product analytics, if you allow it.

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase hosts our database and accounts in Ireland (European Union).
  • Cloudflare hosts repcrowd.com.
  • Apple delivers push notifications and syncs your Apple Watch.
  • YouTube (Google) plays live streams and videos inside the app. When you watch, Google may collect data under the Google Privacy Policy.

We share data with no one else, except when the law requires it. Because these providers operate outside Canada, your information is stored and processed in other countries, where their laws apply.

How long we keep it

  • Account, training and profile data: until you delete it or delete your account.
  • Live chat messages: 90 days.
  • Reports and moderation records: as long as needed to keep the community safe.
  • Database backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account and all its data from our servers and clears this iPhone.
  • Reset your training in Settings → Reset Account Data, keeping your login.
  • Make your profile private or change your name in Settings → Social Profile.
  • Turn off analytics or notifications in Settings.
  • To get a copy of your data or correct it, email [email protected]. In Canada you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object, restrict processing, or complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

RepCrowd is not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
